2026 AHKLC Annual Symposium: Innovations in Language Education - Advancing Pedagogy, Practice, and Research

Call for Proposals
We welcome proposals that share innovative practices, research findings, and insights shaping the future of language education. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues and contribute to dynamic discussions that move our field forward.
Proposals are invited for papers, colloquia, workshops, demonstrations, and posters addressing the broad sub-themes of Innovations in Language Education, including:
1. Technology and Innovation in Language Teaching and Learning
Exploring the digital transformation, data-informed practices, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies that reshape language teaching and learning.
2. Evolving Pedagogical Approaches, Curriculum, and Materials
Focusing on innovative curriculum design, teaching methodologies, materials development, and the intersection of theory and classroom practice for effective language learning.
3. Language Learning, Acquisition, and Use in Contexts
Examining research and practice in cognitive, social, and cultural dimensions of language learning and communication in varied contexts.
4. English for Academic and Specific Purposes
Investigating the role of English in higher education, disciplinary discourses, and professional domains, focusing on specialised communication and academic literacy.
5. Assessment and Evaluation in Language Education
Advancing methodological rigor and innovation in assessing learning outcomes and evaluating language programmes.
6. Policy, Professional Development, and Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Engaging with broader frameworks that shape language education through policy, institutional support, teacher development, and interdisciplinary engagement.
